  <p>ACF 200 is a woven slit film geotextile, and will meet the following physical properties when tested in accordance with the methods listed below. The individual slit films are woven together in such a manner as to provide dimensional stability relative to each other.   <p>ACF West DOT “Supported” Silt Fence, WB-2130 uses a woven fabric attached with steel hog rings to galvanized steel support mesh.  The fabric is a woven network of polypropylene fibers, stabilized to resist degradation due to ultraviolet exposure, and resistant to commonly encountered soil chemicals, mildew and insects. It is non-biodegradable and is stable within a ph range of 2-13.</p>

  <p>Geotex 2130, produced by Propex, is a polypropylene woven flat tape silt fence fabric that meets AASHTO
M-288 Standards for silt fence usage. This engineered fabric is stabilized to resist degradation due to
ultraviolet exposure. It is resistant to commonly encountered soil chemicals, mildew and insects, and is
non-biodegradable. Polypropylene is stable within a pH range of 2 to 13, making it one of the most stable
polymers available for geotextiles today.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Fiber rolls (or straw wattles) are very effective for sediment control. They reduce the rate of water flow, simultaneously absorbing water and filtering sediment. When used for temporary sediment retention, fiber rolls can reduce off-site sedimentation by:</p>

<li>Providing storm drain inlet protection</li>
<li>Directing runoff water to retention and detention devices</li>
<li>Reducing water velocities in areas of concentrated flow, such as waterways and swales, when installed as check structures</li>
<li>Functioning as an alternative to silt fence for perimeter sediment control</li>

<p><strong>Advantages to fiber rolls:</strong></p>

<li>Install more easily, particularly in shallow soils and rocky material</li>
<li>Are more adaptable to slope applications and contour installations</li>

<p>Check dams have proven to be very effective erosion and sediment control measures by reducing the flow velocities causing silt and sediment to settle upstream. Reduced water velocity also results in minimized downstream erosion.</p>
<p>ACF West&#8217;s Triangular Silt Dike is a reuseable, multipurpose alternative to rock check dams. Made of lightweight and durable materials, triangular silt dikes install quickly, conform to curves and rough terrain, and clean easily for multiple uses. The protective apron on both sides of the dike prevent erosion and failure.</p>

<p><span style="color: #333333;"><strong>Option 1: Relocatable gravity flow system. </strong></span>You will need only two of the components: the wash platform and either the water recycling or the solid separation tank. Both pieces of the system require excavation so that they can be set inground, but can easily be removed and relocated when the project is completed.</p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;"><strong>Option 2: Totally portable system. </strong></span>This system will require all four of the component pieces. The small water collection chamber holds a wash water return pump and as the chamber collects the return wash water; this extra pump returns the waters and solids to the tank for recycling.</p>
<p><span style="color: #333333;"><strong>Option 3: Inground Wash Elements with Above Ground Tank. </strong></span>This is a mix of the two above options and is ideal in many applicatons. The wash elements and water collection chamber are set in the ground and the operator will use gravel to transition the grade from the road to the top of the wash platform. The water recycling and solid separation tank itself, however, is set adjacent to the system on level ground. This avoids the need for the ramps.</p>
